THERESA BEATTIE

Theresa is an Arts Consultant specialising in dance.

She worked as a curator at Southbank Centre, Dance Umbrella, and the Royal Opera House, was Director of Artist Development at The Place for a decade and held senior roles with Arts Council England. Early in her career she established the Education and Community programme at Sadler’s Wells.

Theresa started her consultancy in 2006, adding Executive Recruitment services in 2015.

Organisational development work includes governance reviews and strategic business planning, National Portfolio Organisation applications to Arts Council England and regular work with dance companies and organisations in the UK and internationally.

Executive recruitment includes CEOs, Executive Directors, Executive Producers, Chairs and Trustees for a range of UK organisations. Theresa also runs an established mentoring programme for Artistic and Creative Directors, Executive Directors, Producers and Independent Artists.

Theresa is an accomplished facilitator, working collaboratively with clients to design and deliver bespoke planning meetings, visioning events, awaydays, and board and staff discussions.

Theresa is a Trustee of Hofesh Shechter Company and Just Us Dance Theatre, and an Advisor to Leukaemia Care. She was awarded an OBE for Services to Dance in 2021.
