Join professional dance artists from Stopgap Dance Company for a masterclass exploring the company’s approach to inclusive dance.
This is a fun, welcoming and creative workshop where you can develop your dance skills through improvisation, movement exploration and structured dance sequences.
You’ll also take part in creative and choreographic activities, exploring different ways of moving and expressing yourself.
The workshop is an opportunity to explore new perspectives on what dance can be and to recognise that there is no single way to dance. You’ll be encouraged to be yourself, work collaboratively and explore your own creativity, while developing confidence and a stronger connection to movement.
The masterclass is suitable for disabled young dancers aged 16 to 25.
Whether you’ve joined us for a previous masterclass or this is your first time, we welcome you to the Northern School of Contemporary Dance building located in Leeds. These masterclasses are a chance to build on your existing skills, reconnect with familiar faces and meet new people.
