Collaborative Partnerships

Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) is proud to work in collaborative partnership with specialist arts providers, expanding access to high-quality, industry-relevant arts education through shared expertise and distinctive subject specialisms.

As a higher education provider with degree awarding powers authorised by the Office for Students, NSCD can award degree programmes delivered through a range of partnership arrangements:

• Franchise partnerships, where students are registered as NSCD students and study at an approved provider with NSCD retaining responsibility for academic standards and quality assurance;
• Validated partnerships, where NSCD acts as the degree awarding body for an Office for Students–registered provider; and
• Transnational partnerships, which operate in the same way as franchise arrangements but with an overseas partner.

Our strategic vision is to build lasting, values-led relationships with small, specialist organisations that offer something genuinely distinctive for learners, underpinned by a rigorous framework, robust due diligence, and a clear code of practice that protects the student experience while enabling partners to thrive.
