Despite not accepting applications via UCAS, we are a Higher Education Institution and our Home fee-paying undergraduate students are entitled to the same financial assistance as students at UK Universities. This support includes government-sponsored loans and grants.
Eligible, Home fee-paying students are able to apply for a course fee loan to pay for fees and a maintenance loan to contribute towards living costs. Further details regarding eligibility and how to apply can be found at www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance
If you are offered a place following your audition and plan for a student loan, you should provide the following information in the ‘about your course and university or college’ section (section 4) of the application form:

• UCAS (any section referring to a UCAS number) – n/a
• Course Name – Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Dance
• Qualification that you expect to gain – Certificate of Higher Education

• Course Fees – £9,270 per annum
• Course Type – Full-time Undergraduate
Please ensure that the loan has been approved by Student Finance England or its equivalent prior to the start of the course.
An Acceptance Administration Fee of £50* is payable at the point of acceptance to offers made on all our courses. Full details will be provided within any offer letters that are issued.
*Undergraduate applicants who applied for, and met the criteria, for a NSCD Application Fee Waiver are not required to pay this fee.
A Course Fee Deposit of £1500 is payable by undergraduate students paying overseas fees or those students not obtaining a course fee loan through Student Finance England or its equivalent. NSCD will require you to pay the deposit at the point of acceptance. The deposit is deducted from the final instalment of your course fees. Course fee deposits are not normally refundable unless you exercise your right to cancel your contract under the Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regulations 2013 within 14 days of submitting the NSCD Acceptance Form. Application fee waivers are available for UK applicants from low-income households who may struggle to find the funds to pay for an audition. Further information about the scheme can be found on our How to Apply pages.
Applicants self-identify as a care leaver or estranged student are eligible for an audition fee waiver and additional maintenance support. The same support is offered to those who are adopted or estranged from their parents. If this applies to you, make sure to state this in your application.

Many students at NSCD supplement living expenses by undertaking part-time work. This is fairly easy to come by in Leeds, and some work for students is offered by the School itself.
