NSCD has partnered with dance companies and dance artists across the Atlantic to craft and deliver a unique online programme this summer.
Designed for young dancers aged 15-17 and dancers in training aged 18-25 /emerging dancers up to two years out of university, this three-day online intensive will take place Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 July.
It covers dance styles and techniques including Alvin Ailey, Cunningham, Horton and Limón, as well as improvisation and choreographic sessions.
Artists teaching on the course include Dante Puleio (Artistic Director of Limón Dance Company), Matthew Rushing (Alvin Ailey Associate Artistic Director), Bradley Shelver (Artistic Director of The Brooklyn Dance Festival Company), Leonora Stapleton (Broadway choreographer/dancer and freelance dance teacher/producer), Matthew Robinson (Artistic Director of NSCD postgraduate touring company VERVE), and Matthew Slater (Lecturer in Contemporary Technique and Performance Practice at NSCD).
