NSCD's Community Dance Platform Returns in March 2027

After a one-year hiatus, we are delighted to announce the return of the NSCD Community Dance Platform, taking place in Saturday 20 March 2027 at the Riley Theatre, Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

The Community Dance Platform celebrates the breadth, diversity and creativity of dance activity taking place across Leeds and the wider region. It provides community groups, youth dance companies, schools and independent artists with the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre environment and share their work with new audiences.

Whether you are an established dance organisation or a community group looking to take your first steps onto a professional stage, we encourage you to apply.

Expressions of Interest

We are inviting Leeds and Yorkshire based community dance groups, schools, youth groups and dance organisations to submit an Expression of Interest to perform as part of the 2027 Community Dance Platform.

Performance Opportunities Policy

To ensure fair and equitable access to performance opportunities across Leeds and Yorkshire, priority may be given to groups that are not currently performing at other local or regional platforms, including Fresh. This enables us to support a wider range of participants and organisations to experience performing at the Riley Theatre and helps create a diverse programme that reflects the breadth of community dance activity across the region.
