Collaborative Arts is a micro-festival of immersive performances and screenings from third year BA students at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Encounter diverse live performances made in collaboration with a variety of artists and venues in the city.
Led by award-winning choreographers Jane McKernan and Fernanda Prata, students give free reign to their imaginations, producing work with creatives from overlapping artistic disciplines.

Twumba is an opportunity to reconnect to the present moment, drawing attention to each of your senses through a carefully guided auditory journey. We can find ourselves so wrapped up in our daily routines and worries, that we don’t truly experience what’s happening right now. This is a chance to take time for yourself, listen to live music, experience the touch of massage and appreciate the simple act of having a cup of coffee. Homemade bakes and drinks will also be included.

Everyone reaches a point where they find themselves at their lowest low, and going through this when you are in arts training forces you to be exposed when you are at your most vulnerable. Every artist has their own unique experience of this, therefore it is hard to put into words. Through our work we aim to capture these emotions that everyone can relate to with our physicality.
