About the choreographer

Originally from Bombay, India, Zoobin Surty considers himself a hybrid Indian classical dance artist.  Since graduating from Northern School of Contemporary Dance he has worked across South Africa, Japan, USA, Dubai, Thailand, the Fiji Islands and the UK, touring and sharing his expertise in creating multidisciplinary dance works. For the past 5 years he has served as a cultural dance ambassador at South Asian Arts (SAA-UK) in Leeds.

In 2021 he embarked on a Masters in Dance & Creative Enterprise at NSCD, inspiring his creativity further to explore mental health and trauma through dance.
