Emma is a dancer from Manchester currently in her third year of training at NSCD. As the newly appointed Student Union President, she chairs Student Union meeting and sits on multiple committees including Board of Governors and Senate. She started dancing at 3 with weekly ballet classes and became interested in contemporary through the dance company at her secondary school, where she learned about the Lowry CAT scheme and trained there for 3 years, before joining NSCD. Emma understands the importance of a well represented student voice that is ingrained into the decision-making of the school, and enjoys hosting Student Platform events, both producing and performing in them. She has also established her own dance collective that has staged work with fellow students at NSCD and hopes to continue to develop work after graduation.
