Before joining NSCD, Gian trained at Trinity Laban where they graduated with a BA in Contemporary Dance. During their training, they worked with choreographers Jean Abreu, Akeim Toussaint-Buck, Protima Chatterjee and Clare Baker.
"I chose this course as I’m keen to explore an interdisciplinary approach to dance, taking movement and performance outside of a conventional stage setting and exploring its relationship to other modes of expression: visual art, technology, film, music etc. I am looking forward to collaborating with a group of like-minded creatives with unique backgrounds and perspectives. I’m hoping that we will come together as independent dance artists to create some exciting new projects that will inspire my own practice."
