Career History

Pete has been a freelance musician/composer for 30 plus years. He plays jazz, improvisation and classical on piano; tango, balkan, klezmer, cajun and improvisation on accordion. He is also a composer and songwriter for choirs, jazz ensembles, workshops and community music projects throughout the UK.  Pete also works as a music examiner for ABRSM (Classical & Jazz). Previous ensembles include: Big Sun, Feetpackets, Caravanserai, Tango Siempre, Paradiso, Truffleshack, Will Gregory’s Moog Ensemble.

Professional Activity and Research Interests

Currently Pete is running a community choir and a jazz workshop in Wakefield, and is Musical Director of City Varieties Youth Theatre in Leeds. He is working on various composition projects, and aiming to play the bandoneon and the trombone more often.
