If you have any concerns, our Concern Form is designed for anyone who engages with NSCD to provide us with feedback.

Academic Freedom and Freedom of Speech

The Office for Students’ new freedom of speech complaints scheme came into force on 1 September 2026. The new scheme is free to use and will address complaints about breaches of the regulatory conditions applicable to registered HE providers in England under the OfS’ Conditions of Registration.
Complaints under this scheme can be made by individuals who are or were members of staff, applicants for employment as members of academic staff or non-student members of relevant providers and constituent institutions, as well as visiting speakers.
