Wednesday 27th May 2015, 9:26pm NSCD Students Perform Across Leeds

As part of their final project, third year students at Northern School of Contemporary Dance will perform a variety of productions in bizarre and interesting locations across Leeds. The students were given 5 weeks to form a company and collaborate to create a performance for their Collaborative Arts module. This module is where up and coming dance company Gracefool Collective was first established.

Caterpillar Collective
Forget to Remember
An installation work that relies on its visual effectiveness and complexity. This universe is born from the human brain and its processes, whilst being fed by the audiences’ various perspectives and interpretations.

Twisted Tales
Taking you through a moral maze of crooked tales; in collaboration with Alexandra Robinson (Opera Singer) and Blue Rinse. Challenge your tradition.

Showings at 1pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.30pm & 3pm lasting 15 minutes long. 4 people per group.

The Feast
An evening with D J Esus and his Mouldy Disciples
91, Fun. Join us in a skip for a bit of it.
Please accept our warmest invitation to play bingo with D Jesus and his Mouldy Disciples. We look forward to meeting you in a paper maché world designed by Georgie Buchanan and Lewis Edwards.

Living In The Peripheral
An interactive journey that focuses on living on the edge of society. Audience will need to bring a smart phone with internet access and a QR Reader app as well as earphones.

Showings at 2pm, 2.30pm & 3pm lasting 15 minutes long. 3 people in each group.
Meeting point: Corn Exchange Main Entrance, Leeds City Centre.

Wild West Works in collaboration with KOYO
What Is Mine
An evening of live music from upcoming band KOYO, as well as the debut of their new video ‘What Is Mine’ created by Wild West Works.
Drinks, burgers and music.

Immersive theatrical performance taking the audience on a trail investigating the myths and conspiracies surrounding the worldwide sensation, ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.

Showings at 6pm & 6.45pm lasting 40 minutes. Maximum 15 people per group
Not suitable for under 18s, no wheelchair access, no public photography. Please wear sensible shoes and outdoor clothing.
Meeting point: Roundhay Park, taxi drop off at Wetherby Road entrance (Wetherby Gates) to park and meet guide that will escort group to beginning of trail.

Complex Layers
Layers of a Dancer
A short film looking at a dancer and the moving body from an inner perspective. What goes on internally when we’re on stage? What do we think about? How are we affected by our bodies’ physiological responses?
